I feel like I’m starting to sound like a broke record, so bare with me: it’s time for real talk. Here’s where the real talk starts and ends: life gets in the way of goals. We all say it when we fall off the fitness wagon, and this week I fell hard. Even though I worked out 4 times this week, which is pretty good, my nutrition went down hill. I didn’t meal prep on Sunday because I wasn’t feeling well and that caused a whole lot of trips to WAWA and Redner’s for some quick and easy food. You know what happens when you eat quick and easy food for a whole week? You start feeling gross and stop wanting to try. It’s a whole compound effect, the more you eat bad the more you don’t care about your goals and you want to eat bad...and then you step on the scale and you’re like: HOLY COW. Literally. So what’s the game plan when that happens? Stop making excuses. So what did I do today even though I wanted to sleep in an extra hour or two? I meal prepped. And not just for me, for my significant other as well. My kitchen was full of five different types of chicken (variety is the spice of life, right?), 9 different types of vegetables, and a few starches for the hubby because he can’t live without potatoes. Though I didn’t have time to portion out (here I go again, broken record style), at least the food was cooked and now all I need to do it plug it into Eat This Much and go! Plus there’s Slimmetry (you can pick it up at the CNU Fit store!!) So hopefully I’ll see some poundage go down in the next week or so.
