Recipes | Chocolate Brownies

We all love chocolate, but who wants to eat just one brownie?! Make these surprisingly healthy chocolate brownies and you can have all 6 for under 300 calories!! (Remember, you can always cut the serving size in half to fit your macros.)

Calories: 296 (Without Frosting) 

*Protein: 50g, Fat: 12g, Carbs: 54g*

Serving Size: 6 brownies

Yield: 6 Brownies

 

Ingredients: 

– 130g canned white beans
– 60g canned pumpkin
– 46g T egg substitute
– 30g chocolate whey (ISO 100 is recommended) 
– 1/2 tsp baking powder 
– 1/2 tsp vanilla 
– 2 Tbsp unsweetened almond milk 
– 5g unsweetened cocoa powder
– stevia/splenda to taste 

 

Directions:

1. Drain and rinse chickpeas.
2. Puree chickpeas, pumpkin, egg, milk, and vanilla til smooth.
3. Mix in remaining ingredients. If batter is too thick add a splash of milk.
4. Pour into baking dish. Add any extras (chocolate chips, nuts…)
5. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
6. Eat plain or top with healthy frosting!! (nonfat greek yogurt, chocolate protein powder, unsweetened cocoa powder, sweetener) No exact measurements for frosting.
*Try different flavors or protein powder! You can make vanilla, peanut butter, cookies & cream, or just about any kind of brownie!
