Longevity Coaching · GLP-1 support for adults 40+
Lose Weight on a GLP-1 Without Losing Muscle
Stuck at the same weight, getting weaker and waiting days for answers? CNU Fit's Longevity Coaching Program puts quarterly blood work, an AI health app, physician-guided medication and a CNU coach every two weeks into one plan, so the weight you lose is fat, not the muscle that keeps you strong.

of the weight lost on a GLP-1 can come from muscle and other lean mass when there's no plan to protect it.
Sound familiar?
You're stuck
The scale hasn't moved in weeks. The only answer you get is a higher dose, and the nutrition advice is the same at every visit.
You're losing muscle, not just fat
You eat far less, protein falls short and strength training slips. You end up lighter but weaker, with a slower metabolism that makes regain more likely.
You're on your own
Questions about side effects, protein or a plateau wait until your next appointment, and nobody looks at your labs, your body composition and your workouts together.
Why muscle loss matters on a GLP-1
When people lose weight on a GLP-1 medication such as Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro or Zepbound, a large share of it can come from lean mass instead of fat. Estimates usually range from about 25% to 40% of total weight lost. Losing muscle:
- Slows your metabolism, which makes regain more likely once you stop the medication.
- Reduces strength and mobility, which is especially risky as you get older.
- Leaves you lighter but not healthier. You can end up "skinny-fat," with a similar body-fat percentage and less muscle.
It happens because people eat much less, often don't get enough protein and aren't doing resistance training. Muscle is hard to put back on after 40, so we protect it from day one.
What protects muscle on a GLP-1
- Resistance training 2–3 times a week
- Roughly 0.7–1 g of protein per pound of goal body weight
- Body composition scans, not just the scale
- Fixing nutrition and training before raising the dose
General guidance. The physician team and your coach set your own targets.

Your labs drive everything
- At home
- A Tasso kit. No waiting room, no lab line.
- Shipping included
- Prepaid overnight return. Collect Monday to Thursday.
- Results in about two days
- Text updates, then it syncs into your app.
- Every quarter
- See what moved: A1C, lipids, hormones and more.
What the panel looks at
Heart
ApoB and lipoprotein(a), plus the full lipid panel. Low LDL alone doesn't tell the whole story.
Metabolic
A1C, to see where your blood sugar really sits over time.
Inflammation
C-reactive protein and other inflammation markers.
Nutrients
Vitamin D, B12 and the levels that affect energy.
Liver and kidney
Organ health, checked every quarter.
Hormones
Thyroid, including T3, and testosterone.
Blood work is billed separately from the monthly program. Full marker list on request.
A coach in your pocket, 24/7
The app reads everything you give it and turns it into advice for your body, not general tips. Ask it anything, any time, on your phone or the web. Physician guidance from Dr. Calvin Wilson is built in.
What goes in
- Your quarterly blood work
- InBody scans
- Apple Health: sleep, steps and workouts
- Daily check-ins: stress, hunger and meals

- A secure link to share with your own doctor
- On your phone or on the web
An example: what Mark's data told him
Ideal is under 80. Mark lifts five days a week, then sits at a desk all day. Lifting alone wasn't going to fix it.
What the app told him to do
- Walk 10–15 minutes after meals. It slows the rise in glucose and triglycerides.
- Move 2–3 minutes every hour. Built for a desk job.
- Sleep at least 6½ hours. His Apple Watch showed he was averaging five.
An example based on real app results; the name is changed. Recommendations are built from the numbers you upload, not general advice.
The scale doesn't tell the story
The usual way
"Your weight hasn't moved. Let's raise your dose."
A stall isn't always a dosing problem. If muscle is slipping or protein is low, more medication won't fix it.
Our way
InBody every two weeks
If muscle is slipping, we fix nutrition and training first. The physician sees your labs, scans and app data before any dose change.
The goal
Less food noise, not zero appetite
Small fixes like water, electrolytes and digestive enzymes keep things moving.
When Evans started his own cut, his scans showed he was losing muscle. He added creatine back in and kept his protein up. For the next two weeks the scale barely moved, but he was regaining muscle and losing fat. A scale can't show you that.

Train with us to protect your muscle
Resistance training 2–3 times a week is the best way to hold on to muscle while you lose weight. If you live near one of our Delaware studios, add personal training with a coach who sees your scans, and stretch therapy to keep you moving well.

Longevity Coaching questions
What is CNU Fit's Longevity Coaching Program?
A coaching program for adults 40 and older who want to lose fat without losing muscle, including people on a GLP-1 medication. It combines quarterly at-home blood work, an AI health app, physician-guided tirzepatide when it's appropriate, a medical team on call 24/7 and a CNU coach check-in every two weeks.
Why do people lose muscle on a GLP-1?
They eat much less, often don't get enough protein and aren't doing resistance training. Estimates usually put about 25% to 40% of the weight lost on a GLP-1 as lean mass rather than fat. Losing muscle slows your metabolism, reduces strength and mobility, and makes regain more likely once you stop the medication.
How do I protect muscle on a GLP-1?
The standard advice is resistance training 2–3 times a week and roughly 0.7–1 g of protein per pound of goal body weight. In CNU Fit's Longevity Coaching Program, InBody scans every two weeks show whether you're losing fat or muscle, and your coach adjusts nutrition and training before anyone raises your dose.
How is this different from getting a GLP-1 prescription online?
Most programs give you a prescription and an occasional check-in. This one starts with your blood work, tracks your body composition, coaches you between visits with an AI app built on your own data, and gives you a physician on call 24/7 and a CNU coach every two weeks.
I'm already on a GLP-1. Can I switch?
Yes. After your blood work and a Zoom visit, the physician decides whether to keep you at your current dose or adjust it.
Does the price go up if my dose goes up?
No. The program is one monthly price at any dose, with the medication, supplies, cold shipping, physician visits, the app and coaching included. Quarterly blood work is billed separately. Ask for current pricing at your consult.
How long is the program?
It runs in three-month cycles. That's one full cycle between blood draws, so you can see what changed before you renew for another three months.
Do I have to train at CNU Fit or live in Delaware?
No. Blood work is done at home, and physician visits and coaching check-ins are on Zoom. The medical service is available in 46 states; it isn't yet available in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Mississippi or South Carolina. If you live near Dover, Middletown or Milford, you can add personal training and stretch therapy at our studios.
What does the blood work check?
Heart health (ApoB, lipoprotein(a) and a full lipid panel), blood sugar (A1C), inflammation (C-reactive protein), nutrients such as vitamin D and B12, liver and kidney function, and hormones including thyroid (with T3) and testosterone. You collect it at home with a Tasso kit every quarter.
What are the common side effects of GLP-1 medications?
The most common are digestive: nausea, constipation, diarrhea and reflux, mostly when you start or increase a dose. Tell the medical team about any side effect; they're available 24/7. Your coach also helps with simple fixes like drinking enough water and getting electrolytes.
Who prescribes the medication?
Medical care is provided through CCRX (Crystal Clear RX Wellness), CNU Fit's telehealth partner. A licensed clinician reviews your health history and decides whether treatment is appropriate. Medications are prepared by a licensed 503A compounding pharmacy for you as an individual patient. CNU Fit provides the coaching.
When does the program start?
Launching the first week of November 2026. Start your consult now to get your blood work going, or email peptides@cnufit.com.
Important safety information
Tirzepatide is a prescription medication and isn't right for everyone. A licensed clinician reviews your health history and decides whether treatment is appropriate before anything is prescribed. Compounded medications are prepared by a licensed pharmacy for an individual patient. They are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality.
Tirzepatide should not be used by people with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2). Tell the clinician if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding. The most common side effects are nausea, diarrhea, constipation, vomiting and reflux.
