Dover’s Personal Trainer Talks About Giving Back

The month of November is always associated with being grateful for what you have and for giving back – giving back to your families, to your community, and to yourself. Fitness is a huge part of giving back to yourself: treating your body well and your mind well is an important part of living a fulfilling life.

We are pleased to announce that CNU Fit has recently been given the opportunity to use fitness to give back to the soldiers, their families, and veterans at Dover AFB by signing a contract for group fitness classes at the Dover AFB Sports and Fitness Center.

As a veteran who spent my Air Force career at Dover, and as a local business owner, it’s an honor to be able to give back to a place that was such a huge part of my life. I have immense respect and reverence for those who serve our country and I’ve always wanted to use my unique skills to help them in some way or form, so this contract is a blessing.

CNU Fit will now provide 19 fitness classes a week at the base, of differing fitness programs. There is Zumba, Yoga, and Pilates, as well as others like the more familiar FitRanx that we do at the CNU Fit studio. If you go you’ll likely run into new faces, as we hired 8 new instructors to run the classes.

So far the classes are getting rave reviews and the number of people attending continues to grow!

We are super excited to continue to serve members of the community, and even more excited that this contract has been worked out just in time for Veteran’s Day. Today and this weekend we hope you thank the veterans in your life for their service, and be grateful for the freedoms you have because of them.

To go with the theme of being grateful, I challenge you, starting with today, to let the people in your life know how grateful you are for them, but also to recognize the blessings in your life.

Here are CNU Fit’s reasons to be grateful this week:

  1. The veterans that make up our community and our opportunity to help coach them with our new contract with Dover AFB.

  2. Our wonderful clients that continue to show up inspired and determined to reach their goals.
