Meal in a hurry!

Serves 5

Nonstick cooking spray

1/3 cup Italian Bread Crumbs
1/2 lb 95% lean ground beef
1/2 lb Ground turkey breast
3/4 cup No-Sugar added applesauce
1 TBS Onion, dried, minced
1 white Egg Whites
1 Whole Head leaf lettuce, small
2 Whole Apples, small


Step 1 Preheat broiler.
Step 2 Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, slightly beat egg white.
Step 3 Stir in 1/4 cup of applesauce, the bread crumbs, onion and salt.
Step 4 Add turkey and beef, mix well.
Step 5 Shape into 5 (1/2-inch thick) patties.
Step 6 Spray the cold rack of an unheated broiler pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Step 7 Place patties on the rack.
Step 8 Broil 3 to 4 inches from heat for 5 minutes.
Step 9 Turn over, broil 5 to 7 minutes more or until meat is no longer pink.
Step 10 Meanwhile, heat remaining applesauce.
Step 11 Chop leaf lettuce into thin strips.
Step 12 Slice apples into wedges; serve each patty on a bed of chopped lettuce along with warm applesauce and apple wedges.
